Art created from hand painted and drawn elements, ephemera, found objects, photographs and pieces of photographs, etc.
Everything from empty snail shells, seed pods, old match books, sticks, rusty things, illustrations from old books, crumbling family photographs, and the pages of my own sketch books, can and will be put on my flat bed scanner.
I’m not above fabricating things in Photoshop. Turns out it’s really hard to find a fish bridle and reins.
All of these elements swirl around and coalesce into something new and different. I may, or may not, have an idea of where the design is going. Sometimes it starts out to be one thing, and ends up being another thing entirely.
